Meet the Robinsons

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

Mike insisted on me going to see Meet the Robinsons.  It was cute.  I loved the singing and dancing frogs.  I’m not much of a space person really, but there were parts in it that were, hmmm, let’s just say memorable.

I wasn’t able to see the 3D version, but I did get to the movies to see it!

Perfect Stranger

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

This weekend I went and saw Perfect Stranger. It was so good. It had lots of unexpected twists and turns, and lots to do with currently technology to help the characters communitcate. I highly recommend this if you are looking for something suspensful, and a not-so-expected ending to the movie! Go and see it!

That means you too Mike. :)

I RAN A HALF-MARATHON

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

Well, one of my dreams finally came true. Exactly one week after turning 30, I ran 13.1 miles. It was so much fun. The race I ran was in Charlotte. It was called the Southpark Race Fest. Miles 10-13 proved to be the hardest of them all because of the rolling hills. This was totally unexpected, but I made it. My goal was to run this race in less than 2 hours and 20 minutes, and I finished it in 2 hours and 12 minutes. So I was very, very happy.

I dedicated each mile to a person, or group of people, who have made a significant impact in my life.  I read about this practice in a Runner’s World magazine earlier this year.  It was great to pull out the list and refer to it while running.

A big thank you Mike for believing in me so much! :)

Seder Dinner

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

Well, for the first time in my life, I attended a Jewish passover meal at my friend Michele’s house.  It was so interesting.  Even though she didn’t do the whole ritual with all the prayers and songs and blessings over certain foods, I learned so much from her.  I was also very impressed with her ability to speak in Hebrew.

The meal consisted of unleavened bread, sweet potato pancakes, baked chicken, apple crisp, matzaball soup, and turkey meatballs and cabbage.  It was great!  Thanks Michele! :)

I am back!

I know it has been awhile, but things are finally settling down again and I am so looking forward to blogging again. And, by the way, in case you don’t know…I love Mike! :)
