A Chorus of Colors

My trip to NYC to visit Michael was awesome–on so many levels. One of my favorite things we did was visit the frog exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History. Not only was the exhibit killer, but the whole museum was phenomenal! We had such a good time here.

Check out these frogs!

Frog Headed Goddess of Childbirth…

Ever heard of Heqet? Me either, until I was looking up some god and goddess that had to do with frogs. Like I said in my “Slower pace of life” section, you never know what you will come across in this world.

Largest frog in the world!

Meet the Goliath frog.  I love frogs, but I wouldn’t want to run into one of these in the deep, dark of night, or the daylight either for that matter.

Frogs!!!!!!!

Monday, June 12th, 2006

I have fallen in love with frogs.  This happened about a year and a half ago, but it just keeps growing.  My neices are even spotting frog stuff and telling me about it.  My students are buying frogs for my classroom, and my family is buying me frogs for my gardens and outdoor living spaces. I am buying and sending frogs to various individuals in the mail.  Who can deny those cute little creatures?

Check out this picture!!!  It was taken at the aquarium in Charleston, SC, during a field trip with the 7th grade class.  This is the biggest frog I have ever seen in my life!!
